1. Acceptance of Terms

By placing an order, accessing our website, or using any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services. These terms apply to all customers, whether purchasing online, by phone, or in person.


2. About Us

Intertype is a professional printing and publishing business based in Australia. We provide a full range of print, design, publishing, and fulfilment services to businesses, individuals, and organisations. All orders are subject to these terms.


3. Orders and Acceptance

All orders placed with Intertype are subject to acceptance. We reserve the right to decline any order at our discretion. An order is confirmed only once you have received written confirmation from us. Prices quoted are valid at the time of quotation and are subject to change without notice until an order is confirmed.


4. Pricing and Payment

All prices are displayed in Australian dollars (AUD) and are exclusive of GST unless otherwise stated. GST will be applied at the current rate at the time of invoicing. Full payment or an agreed deposit is required before production commences. We accept payment by the methods listed on our website. Overdue accounts may incur late payment fees.


5. Artwork and File Submission

You are responsible for supplying print-ready artwork files that meet our technical specifications. We are not liable for errors, colour variations, or quality issues resulting from incorrectly prepared files. Where we prepare or modify artwork on your behalf, a proof will be provided for your approval before production. Approval of a proof constitutes acceptance of the artwork as presented, and we are not liable for errors approved by the customer.


6. Proofing and Approval

Electronic proofs are provided for all jobs unless otherwise agreed. It is your responsibility to review proofs carefully before approving. Once approval is given, production will commence and changes cannot be made. Physical proofs are available on request and may incur an additional charge. Colour representation on digital proofs may vary from the final printed result due to differences between screen and print colour rendering.


7. Turnaround Times

Turnaround times quoted are estimates only and commence from the point of artwork approval and receipt of payment. We will make every effort to meet agreed deadlines but are not liable for delays caused by circumstances outside our control, including supplier delays, equipment failure, or events of force majeure.


8. Intellectual Property

You warrant that you own or hold the appropriate licences for all content, images, logos, and other materials submitted to us for print. You indemnify Intertype against any claims, losses, or damages arising from the use of materials submitted by you that infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party. Artwork, designs, and files created by Intertype remain our intellectual property until full payment has been received.


9. Colour Accuracy

Colour reproduction in print is subject to natural variation and is affected by factors including paper stock, printing process, ink type, and finishing. We take every measure to ensure accurate and consistent colour output, but we do not guarantee an exact match to colours viewed on screen or to colours produced by other printers. Pantone or spot colour matching is available on request and subject to the capabilities of the relevant printing process.


10. Quantity Variation

Due to the nature of the printing process, delivered quantities may vary by up to 5% above or below the ordered quantity. This is an industry-standard tolerance and will be charged or credited accordingly.


11. Defects and Reprints

If you believe your order contains a defect or error caused by Intertype, you must notify us in writing within 7 days of receiving your order, providing photographic evidence of the issue. We will assess the claim and, where a fault is confirmed to be ours, we will reprint or provide a suitable remedy at our discretion. We are not liable for errors resulting from customer-approved artwork or proofs.


12. Returns and Cancellations

Due to the custom nature of printed products, we do not accept returns or offer refunds on completed orders unless a confirmed fault exists on our part. Cancellations made after production has commenced may incur charges to cover costs already incurred. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or amend an order.


13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian consumer law, our liability to you is limited to the value of the order in question. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss or damage arising from the supply of our products or services.


14. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law. Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.


15. Privacy

We collect and handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available on our website. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes without your consent.


16. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms of Service at any time. The current version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.


17. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the state of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
